Cockroach Extermination

Seeing one roach usually means there are many more you aren't seeing. Cockroaches are nocturnal and thigmotactic — they want their bodies touching something on all sides — so they live in narrow cracks rather than out in the open. The gap behind a cabinet, the void behind a dishwasher, the space inside a wall outlet, or the hinge side of a door frame are typical harbourage points.

Spraying visible surfaces kills the ones that walk across it, but does very little to the population hiding in those voids and reproducing out of reach. That's the single biggest reason DIY roach treatment fails: the product is in the wrong place.

There's a practical side too. Cockroaches contaminate food preparation surfaces, and their shed skins and droppings are a known asthma and allergy trigger in homes with children. In a commercial kitchen, an active infestation is a health-code problem, not just an unpleasant one.
